Solid walnut is not a uniform surface. It is a living material marked by distinctive grain, tonal shifts and natural characteristics. As a result, no two desks—even in the same design—look exactly alike. Approximately 4.3 cm thick, each tabletop is finished with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C to preserve the wood’s natural character. The result is a tactile surface that brings warmth to the workspace and is unique to its owner.
The right desk size depends as much on how you work as on the available space. A compact laptop setup and a workstation with monitors, speakers and other equipment require different amounts of surface area. First measure the space reserved for your desk, then consider the equipment you plan to use. Remember to allow enough clearance for circulation and comfortable chair movement.

For compact spaces used primarily with a laptop, 120 × 60 cm can be a practical starting point. For everyday work with a monitor, 140 × 75 or 160 × 75 cm offers a more comfortable surface. For dual monitors or additional equipment, consider 180 × 75 cm or larger. We recommend measuring both the available room and the equipment you intend to use before making your choice.
HWC desks are designed with strong metal supports for a stable and balanced structure. Minor differences in floor level can be compensated for using the adjustable feet beneath the metal legs.

No. The grain, tonal variations, knots and natural markings of solid wood are unique to every tabletop. Product photographs represent the overall design; natural differences in the piece made for you are part of the material’s character.
The estimated production time for made-to-order desks is 3–4 weeks. We confirm the estimated delivery date before you place the order. The tabletop and legs may be packaged separately to help protect them during transit.
The tabletop and metal legs are packaged separately to prevent damage during transport. All required fittings are included. If you need assistance, you can contact HWC before ordering or after delivery.
For everyday cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth and do not leave the surface wet. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Use a trivet or protective mat rather than placing very hot objects directly on the tabletop.
