REFUND AND RETURN POLICY

At hwcfurniture.com, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our furniture. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, as our products are often large, heavy, and handmade, we have specific guidelines regarding returns and refunds.

1. Return Policy Overview

  • Return Window: You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return.
  • Condition: To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging (or equivalent secure packaging).
  • Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

2. Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of our production, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Custom & Personalized Orders: Items made to your specific dimensions, specific wood choices, or with personalized engravings.
  • Sale Items: Items purchased as part of a clearance sale.

3. Damaged or Defective Items (Important)

We package our furniture with extreme care. However, damage can occur during international transit.

  • Inspect Upon Arrival: Please inspect your package immediately upon delivery.
  • If Damaged:
    1. Do not accept the package if the box is severely crushed or open. Or, accept it with a "Damaged" note on the courier's signature pad.
    2. Take clear photos of the box condition and the damage to the product.
    3. Contact us at contact@hwcfurniture.com within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Resolution: We will review the photos and offer a free replacement (if repair is not possible) or a full refund. We will handle the claim with the shipping carrier.

4. "Change of Mind" Returns

If you wish to return an item simply because you changed your mind or it does not fit your space (not due to a defect):

  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping to our facility in Turkey.
  • High Cost Warning: Please note that international shipping for heavy furniture is expensive. The cost of returning the item may exceed the item's value.
  • Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of [10% - 20%] may be deducted from the refund to cover initial handling and packaging costs.

5. Refund Process

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
  • If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 10 business days.
  • Note: Original shipping costs (if any) are non-refundable.

6. Cancellations

  • Standard Orders: You may cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.
  • Custom Orders: Cancellations for custom projects are only accepted within 24 hours. After this period, if production (wood cutting/preparation) has started, a cancellation fee may apply to cover the material costs.
  • Shipped Orders: If the order has already been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. It must be treated as a Return (see Section 4).
